CURRENTS, an exhibition in conjunction with the 2012 Missouri Fiber Artists Conference, seeks submission of artworks that, literally or figuratively, explore the artist’s story and use fiber media or other media using fiber techniques to transform concept into substance. CURRENTS is open to all artists using fiber as a media or other materials using fiber techniques, and artists are invited to submit up to three artworks. Exhibition will be displayed at The Vine Gallery at the Lake of the Ozarks, MO from April 18-May 19, 2012. Submission deadline is February 1, 2012; all entries must be postmarked by February 1, 2012.

The some things looming Fiber Arts Gallery and Studio in Pennsylvania has issued a “Call for Artists” to submit works for its upcoming salon-style exhibition, Refuse/Reseen, that will run from April 14 through June 2, 2012. The show is part of the larger FiberPhiladelphia 2012 biennial celebration from March through May involving many artists, gallery exhibitions, major art institutions and numerous independent venues. The entry fee is $35, and the "Best in Show" winner will receive a $258 award and his or her own show at some things looming during the 2012-2013 exhibit season. The juror is Warren Seelig from Rockland, Maine, currently distinguished visiting professor in the Fibers/Mixed Media program at Philadelphia’s University of the Arts. Submission deadline is February 25, 2012.

The Kansas Alliance of Weavers & Spinners invites you to attend Prairie Winds, the 2013 MWA Conference in Emporia, Kansas. Come experience the vast prairies and broad horizons of the Sunflower State. We are now accepting class proposals from teachers. We are looking for a variety of fiber related classes for 3 hour, 6 hour, 2 day, and 3 day sessions. The submission deadline is March 1, 2012.
